THE SIGNAL SESSIONS
WITH SUSAN SAINT-ROSSY
A 90-day group mentoring engagement for couples therapists who want a stable, private-pay couples practice that supports the life they want.
You already know how to do couples therapy, and you want more couples to work with. It’s been hard to build a private-pay practice that reflects their devotion to and skill in helping couples.
The Signal Sessions is for couples therapists who are done with not knowing how to get found by the right clients.
What determines whether couples actually find you, choose you, and pay you consistently is how your practice is set up to attract the right couples—not how good you are in the room.
That “signally” skill is what most couples therapists were never taught.
The Signal Sessions is where we make sure everything couples encounter—your profiles, website, Google presence, intake, and structure—tells the same steady story:
This is a couples therapist.
This is who they work with.
This is what it’s like to begin.
When that signal is clear, couples don’t need convincing.
They recognize you—and reach out. And what follows is a steady flow of the right couples building your private-pay practice to the levels you need to thrive.
What Changes in 90 Days
By the end of The Signal Sessions, you will have done something most skilled couples therapists never do: differentiate.
Not from the clinical work you love. From the fog of generic positioning, borrowed language, and invisible profiles that were never designed to attract anyone in particular.
Specifically, you will have:
A signal so distinct that the right couples recognize themselves in it immediately
A positioning statement you can say out loud without wincing
Profiles, website pages, and Google presence that all speak from the same coherent identity
The beginning of a differentiation process that will reshape how you understand yourself as a practitioner — not just how you market yourself
This is not a marketing course. It is the first act of a deliberate differentiation. You will leave knowing exactly who you are in the room, and exactly how to say it to the people who need to hear it.
This Is For You If…
You take couples work seriously — not casually, not "occasionally," not as a side dish.
You're solid in the room, but your practice hasn't caught up to your skill
You know something is off in how you're presenting yourself — but you can't quite see it from the inside.
You're tired of looking like everyone else on Psychology Today and in your website, and have no idea how to look like yourself.
You want your practice to reflect how you actually work: thoughtful, distinct, and intentional.
You value discernment over hacks, and coherence over hustle.
You're ready to differentiate — from the generic, from the invisible, from the version of yourself that's been hiding behind credentials.
This Is Not For You If…
You want reassurance without change.
You are looking for templates, scripts, or someone to do the thinking for them.
You prefer to keep their practice vague so they don’t have to choose.
You are hoping confidence or referrals will magically fix structural problems.
You want to “dip a toe in” rather than commit to a real reconfiguration.
You feel more comfortable collecting trainings than making business decisions..
Why I Built The Signal Sessions
I'm Susan Saint-Rossy.
Before I was a couples therapist, I was a management consultant and marketing director. Before that, I was a literature PhD who thought carefully about how language makes meaning. I've built private practices in Beijing, Moscow, Gaborone (Botswana), and DC — which means I've had to figure out how to signal competence and attract the right clients in contexts where I had no referral network, no reputation, and sometimes no shared language.
I know what it takes to be found when nothing is handed to you.
I also know what it's like to sit across from a couple in crisis and understand (with every clinical instinct I have) exactly what they need.
Couples work is not individual therapy with two people in the room. It is a different discipline, a different demand, and a significantly harder thing to position in a field that barely distinguishes between them.
Most practice-building programs weren't built for us. They were built for individual therapists, by individual therapists, and then handed to couples specialists as if the differences didn't matter.
The Signal Sessions exists because they do
What Happens Inside The Signal Sessions
Over 90 days, we do one thing with complete seriousness:
We build your SIGNAL.
Not your brand. Not your marketing strategy. Not your confidence. Your signal — the coherent, distinctive identity that makes the right couples immediately recognize you as the person they've been looking for.
This means we work through the layers that most therapists have never examined:
The positioning that separates you from every other couples therapist in your market
The language that says exactly who you are and who you're for — without sounding like everyone else's Psychology Today profile
The visual identity that communicates competence and character before a single word is read
The website pages and directory profiles that all speak from the same coherent center
Your Google presence, positioned for where couples search today, and a clear-eyed look at where that's heading, which we address fully in the Reach program
We don't make you louder.
We make you legible.
You leave with a signal so clear and distinct that the right couples don't have to work hard to find you, recognize you, or choose you. That's not marketing. That's differentiation.
90 days. Small group. Limited enrollment.
This is not a course. There are no modules to work through alone at midnight wondering if you're doing it right. I am with you each step of the way: in real time, on your actual materials, inside the specific context of your practice.
Each week we meet live as a group. Sessions are recorded so you can watch later if life intervenes, but this work is designed to be done in community.
The signal-building process is sharpened by witness, and you will learn as much from watching other therapists find their signal as from finding your own.
Between sessions, you implement. Inside the program, you get real-time feedback on what you're actually building — your positioning, your language, your profiles, your pages. Nothing hypothetical. Nothing generic.
Implementation is not homework you do after. It is the work.
You leave not with a plan to someday build your signal. You leave with one.
How The Signal Sessions Works
About Time & Capacity
This work is designed to fit alongside an active practice.
You are not clearing your calendar. You are not adding a second job. You are redirecting time you are already spending on second-guessing your positioning, rewriting your bio for the fourth time, wondering why the right couples aren't finding you, toward work that actually resolves those questions.
Most therapists find that clarity is faster than confusion.
Once your signal is built, the decisions that used to take hours take minutes. The profile that took three rewrites takes one. The introduction you used to stumble through becomes something you say with ease.
You are not adding to your load. You are replacing friction with direction.
Investment
The Studio Sessions is a $2,997 investment. (Payment plans are available.)
For most couples therapists, that’s less than the revenue from adding one well-fit couple to your schedule
This work is about turning clinical skill into a clear signal, and a clear signal into steady revenue.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
No.
You do need real training and real commitment to couples work. Certification is not required. Clarity is.
The Siginal Sessions is for therapists who take couples seriously and want their practice to reflect that, regardless of letters after their name.
-
We’re not working on content calendars, funnels, ads, or social media. We’re working on signal—how your practice is understood before couples ever start working with you.
That includes positioning, structure, language, and decision-making across the places that matter most.
-
That’s fine.
The question isn’t whether you also see individuals. It’s whether couples are central and clearly positioned in your practice.
We work on making that apparent—so couples don’t have to guess.
-
Full doesn’t always mean stable.
Many therapists can be full but:
undercharging
working harder than necessary
attracting mixed-fit couples
relying on luck rather than clarity
The Signal Sessions helps you stabilize and simplify—so “full” doesn’t feel precarious.
