Susan Saint-Rossy, LCSW, LICSW
Couples Therapist | Practice-Building Educator | Founder, Couples Therapist Studio
SHORT BIO
Susan Saint-Rossy, LCSW, LICSW, is a licensed couples therapist and the creator of Couples Therapist Studio — the only practice-building system designed specifically for licensed couples therapists. Before becoming a clinician, she spent a decade as a management consultant and marketing director. She has built full-fee private practices across four continents — in China, Russia, Botswana, and the United States — and now teaches other couples therapists how to do the same.
FULL BIO
Most practice-building educators learned marketing, strategy, and business systems by reading about them. Susan Saint-Rossy was paid to do it. She worked as marketing director and systems consultant first for a large, international consulting firm, spending a decade in management consulting and corporate marketing before bringing those tools into clinical practice. Susan has also worked as a professor, teaching business and technical writing to undergraduate and graduate students, and as a freelance marketing communications consultant.
She has built thriving full-fee practices in four countries across four continents, China, Russia, Botswana, and the US, each time from scratch, with no existing referral network or professional reputation.
That lived experience is the foundation of Couples Therapist Studio, which she founded on a single premise: couples therapy is a structurally different business from individual therapy, and the advice most couples therapists receive was never built for them.
Through CTS and its flagship program Plenty, she helps licensed couples therapists fix how they're seen and how their practice is built — so the right couples find them, the work starts cleaner, and the practice becomes steadier and more profitable over time.
In her private practice (www.relationship-therapist.com) she creates revenue of $20K a month, working with couples about 15 hours a week. (Minimum session length is 90 minutes.) She teaches others how to get there.
WHAT SUSAN BRINGS TO YOUR AUDIENCE
Susan is available to speak on the following topics. Each is built around a specific, defensible argument — not general inspiration.
1. Why Marketing Couples Therapy Is a Completely Different Problem The advice couples therapists receive was built for individual therapy. The buyer is different, the decision is different, the financial math is different. This conversation names what's actually wrong. . . and what to do instead.
2. The Financial Math Couples Therapists Get Wrong Full-fee private pay isn't a mindset choice for couples therapists. It's a structural necessity. This conversation walks through the session length, scheduling, and fee logic that makes individual therapy financial models actively harmful when applied to couples work. It also addresses the insurance problem for couples therapists.
3. The Two-Person Problem One partner searches. One gets recruited. Most couples therapists are writing their marketing for only one of them. This conversation reframes the entire website and directory strategy for an audience that is never just one person.
4. Why Good Couples Therapists Stay Invisible Not a confidence problem. Not a credentials gap. A signal problem and a structural one. This conversation names what's actually blocking the right couples from finding the right therapist, and what it takes to fix it.
